To control the spread of COVID-19 and assist with school re-opening, the CDC recommends testing students, staff and teachers often. We have been part of this testing strategy from the beginning, and we have assisted many school districts including the Huntington Beach City School District.

We work closely with school administrators to decide who should be tested. Staff, teachers, or students with symptoms of COVID-19 and those with close contact to these people will be considered first priority.

Once these considerations have been made, Huntington Beach Urgent Care offers fast, safe onsite testing for the entire school district. Our team will come onsite to test those staff members and teachers within your district.

In addition, we also offer flexible COVID-19 testing and population surveillance to mitigate outbreaks on campus. For example, we can test all staff every two months, 25 percent of the staff every two weeks, or 50 percent of the staff every month. This rotation testing ensures all staff get tested. We comply with all state and local public health guidance on testing frequency.

PCR COVID TESTING

A nasal swab test that tests for the presence of the virus by testing for viral RNA
Test results are available within 48-72 hours
