COVID Testing in Huntington Beach takes place in designated parking spaces on the east side of the building. When you enter the parking lot, please follow the signs to the red tent. Our staff member will guide you to the designated parking area and meet you at your car.

Rapid Antigen Test (Nasal Swab)
The Rapid Antigen Test has been made available by FDA under Emergency Use Authorization (EUA). It is a new technology, which gives us the capability to determine if you are carrying the COVID-19 Virus within 15 minutes. This test detects nucleocapsid protein antigens found in the virus that causes COVD-19. We utilize the BD Veritor Rapid Antigen Test developed by Becton Dickinson, and testing is done in your car. The major advantage of this test is that results are available rapidly, within 15 minutes.
There is no out of pocket cost for this test if you have insurance (your insurance will be billed for the test and visit associated with your test under Dr. Barry Schwartz/ Beach Family Medical Center), and $110 if without insurance.
Rapid Antibody Test (Fingerstick Blood Test)
The Rapid Antibody Test has been made available by FDA under Emergency Use Authorization (EUA). Antibodies to the COVID-19 virus usually become detectable 1-3 weeks after symptom onset or after vaccination. If antibodies are present, strong evidence suggests that some degree of immunity against future COVID-19 infection has developed. We utilize a test which identifies antibodies to the “spike” protein, which is the protein the body produces in response to all currently available vaccines. A single drop of blood is utilized (fingerstick) and results are available within 15 minutes.

Rapid PCR Test (Nasal swab)

The Accula™ SARS-CoV-2 Test has received an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) from the FDA. RT-PCR (Reverse Transcriptase Polymerase Chain Reaction) is a method of detecting nucleic acid (in this case RNA, the genetic material of the SARS-CoV-2 virus) in order to determine the presence of virus in a sample. It is the most sensitive and accurate method of detecting the COVID-19 virus. The rapid RT-PCR test uses the same process and achieves the same level of accuracy in approximately 30 minutes, making it ideal for travel. This minimally invasive nasal swab test is done in your car.
The cost for this fully licensed, travel approved Rapid RT-PCR Test is $225.
